By believing, individuals accept that Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross paid the penalty for their sins, reconciling them to God. Furthermore, John 14:6 records Jesus’ words, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me,” affirming that salvation is found exclusively through faith in Him.
The Bible consistently contrasts belief with works as the means of salvation to demonstrate God’s desire for a relationship rather than a transaction. Romans 10:9-10 explains, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.” This passage shows that salvation comes through an internal transformation of the heart, made possible by faith, and expressed outwardly through confession. Belief in God is not merely intellectual agreement but an act of trust that transforms lives, aligning them with His will.
